On this special day, we are thrilled to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of Drip Irrigation BD Ltd. (DIBL), a pioneering leader in the micro-irrigation sector of Bangladesh. Founded as a private limited company on September 8, 2021, DIBL has grown to become a reputed name in sustainable agriculture through its focus on water-saving technologies.
From its humble beginnings to its rise as an industry leader, DIBL has been committed to revolutionizing agriculture in Bangladesh by promoting efficient and smart irrigation systems. Key Achievements Over the Past 3 Years:
1. Securing Prestigious Grants:
DIBL was honored to receive two notable grants:
Bangabandhu Innovation Grant (BIG): We were awarded a grant of 10 lakh BDT, which recognized our innovative approach to irrigation solutions.
Orange Corner Bangladesh (OCB) Grant: We also received 6 lakh BDT from OCB. The event was graced by Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus, whose valuable guidance and insights have been instrumental in shaping our vision for sustainable agricultural development.
2. Successful Anniversary Program:
This year’s anniversary celebration was a testament to the dedication of our entire team. The DIBL team’s active participation in the event reflects our unity, passion, and commitment to furthering the company’s mission.
3. Participation in National and International Agro Fairs:
Over the years, DIBL has been an active participant in several national and international agricultural fairs held in Bangladesh. These platforms have allowed us to showcase our cutting-edge technology and interact with key stakeholders in the agro-industry.
4. Executing 250 Micro Irrigation Projects:
Our team has successfully completed 250 projects nationwide, delivering a diverse range of micro-irrigation solutions, such as Drip Irrigation, Sprinkler Irrigation, Fogging Spray, Hydroponics, Filtration, and IoT & Automation technologies. We are actively involved in projects for corporate clients, NGO-funded initiatives, and government ventures. Additionally, we take pride in participating in government tender projects, further broadening our reach and impact in the sector.
5. Contributing to Water Conservation and Sustainable Development:
Through our smart micro-irrigation systems, DIBL has made a substantial impact by saving 2 crore liters of water across 2,000 hectares of farmland. Our technology has benefited 15,000 farmers in Bangladesh and contributed directly to achieving 11 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
6. Training and Workshops for Marginal Farmers:
Recognizing the importance of education, DIBL has conducted several training programs and workshops on smart micro-irrigation techniques, specifically targeting marginal farmers. These initiatives have empowered farmers with knowledge on modern irrigation technologies, helping them optimize water usage and improve productivity.
7. Media Presence and Public Engagement:
Over the past three years, DIBL has been featured in 10 television programs on national media, along with extensive coverage in newspapers and other online platforms. These media engagements have helped raise awareness about the importance of sustainable irrigation practices and positioned DIBL as a thought leader in the industry.
